Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data PrinToken collects, why, and what you can do about it. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Your name, phone number, email, college and hostel block, so we can run your account and print jobs.
• The files you upload, only so we can print them.
• Job details: page count, price, time, station used and job status.
• What you send through our website forms (name, phone, college or organisation, message), only to reply to you and tell you when PrinToken reaches your hostel.
• Payment status from Razorpay. We never see or store your UPI ID, card or bank details.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded files are deleted right after they print. Files that never print are deleted within 24 hours.
• Job and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Account data is kept until you delete your account.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run PrinToken: Razorpay for payments, our cloud hosting provider for storage, and our notification provider for queue alerts. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent, by emailing hello@printoken.com. We reply within 7 days. If you are under 18, use PrinToken only with your parent or guardian's consent.

Security

Files travel over encrypted connections. PrinToken stations accept jobs only from our server, and each station's controller is kept in a locked enclosure.

Terms of service

By using the PrinToken app or stations, you agree to these terms.

The service

PrinToken lets you upload PDF files, pay online and print them at a self-service PrinToken station in your hostel or office. Stations are available 24×7, except during maintenance or outages.

Your account

Keep your login and OTPs to yourself. You are responsible for jobs released with your QR code or OTP.

What you may print

Print only content you have the right to print. Do not print anything illegal, obscene or defamatory, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright. We may cancel such jobs and suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the app before you pay and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

Using the station

Don't open, move or tamper with the station or printer. Report jams or damage in the app instead.

Liability

We are not responsible for losses caused by wrong files, wrong settings chosen by you, or pages left uncollected at the station. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Nagpur, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.

Refund and cancellation policy

Cancelling a job

You can cancel a job in the app any time before it starts printing and get a full refund.

Failed prints

If a job fails because of a jam, an empty tray, a power cut or any other station problem, you are refunded automatically for every page that did not print. You can also tap "Print didn't come out" on the job to report it.

Jobs that are never collected

If a paid job is not released at the station within 24 hours, it is cancelled and refunded automatically.

When refunds don't apply

Pages that printed correctly are not refundable, including when the wrong file or settings were chosen.

Wallet

A wallet top-up can be refunded within 7 days if none of it has been used. Bonus credit is not refundable, and used top-ups can't be refunded.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Razorpay, usually within 5 to 7 working days. For refund questions, email hello@printoken.com.

Delivery policy

PrinToken does not ship anything. You collect your printed pages yourself at the PrinToken printer you chose in the app, by scanning its QR code or entering your OTP.

Your job is ready to print as soon as payment is confirmed and your turn in the queue comes, usually within a few minutes. If the printer is offline, the app tells you before you pay.
